And the Winner is…

Not too long ago, I posted about the the random email for a photo of my J-Fold wallet. Lisa, their representative, mentioned that if they chose the photo for their blog, then I’d receive a free wallet. Well, I won! They sent an email and it will be posted on their blog. Pretty cool huh? So I have to choose two different styles and they will send it out to me. I chose these two styles.

I don’t know how long it takes to actually receive it but it’s pretty cool to have your wallet posted on a blog. :)

Randomonium in my inbox…

So I had an interesting email the other day. Lisa, a representative from J-Fold sent me an email with an unusual request. According to her email, I was one of the first customers to purchase their product and wanted a photo of it for their new website. Or maybe it was their blog? In any event, if they pick your wallet to showcase, they send you a new one. Not too bad huh?

I don’t know if my alterations will disqualify me but, hey, why not? Here’s what I’m sending them.

I’m sure if I win something I’ll be sure to post again to follow-up. So what does your wallet look like?

HR-3200 Health Care Reform Act: Bill Text and Comments" href="http://www.daveliz.com/blog/?p=1774" rel="bookmark">HR-3200 Health Care Reform Act: Bill Text and Comments

Today I received an email with Rick Joyner’s comments on the proposed health care plan by President Obama. The bill’s name is “America’s Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009″ Rick, in his letter, spells out his message to the Christian community as a watchman in the body of Christ. The comments by RJ are Rick Joyner’s comments from Peter Fleckstein’s explanation of the bill in page/line format.

To date, I have not read the document that elicits the rage I’ve heard from everyone. Radio, television and recent tweets have made it abundant that this is a horrible health care plan that was proposed. So far, it hasn’t passed the Senate or House of Representatives.
Attached here are the comments from Rick Joyner.

The 1,018 pages are a bit daunting to read but now that I have them, I may try my hand at looking up the references for myself. I’d invite you to do the same. The bill text can be downloaded here.

Between Homes in Three Videos

Knowing Liz and I were going to have busy schedules, I decided to try video posting. I used my MacBook Pro’s built-in iSight camera so I’m operating the camera blind. And you can tell in some of these.

The morning of the move, I decided to make a quick run through of everything we had to pack. Jeremy Jacobs (pictured in the previous post) offered to help us move some of the large items into the truck. He had the morning to help us and I was super grateful! That day we were able to pack everything very smoothly without any problem. We had three hand trucks and a extended ramp into the truck that made loading stacks of boxes much easier. Turns out we were able to watch a movie and relax that night together without anything else on the To-Do list until morning.

The second video is the next morning after I muscled in the last remaining items into the vehicles during a downpour. I was a bit cranky, according to Liz, but glad it was a long day and we still had the walk through before we could leave. Thankfully, it went really well and we should get our deposit back.

The third video is that evening when we arrived at the new place in Osgood, Indiana. Liz had stopped by the local grocery store for some dinner while I went on to find the house. While she let Vesta out, Ed and Karen’s dog, I took some initial video here. I found out the upstairs is made of pine, not cedar — which actually makes more sense.

Currently we are up in northern Indiana for a wedding over the weekend. Being up here and talking with friends here makes me want to introduce them to my dear friends in Charlotte. I think everyone would get along so well! I still wish I was able to combine and gather my friends in one place and all live in the same town/city. I can dream, right?

Hopefully, the next video update will be the progress of unpacking and organizing life again. I think we made some decent headway but in one weeks time, we still have a lot to do.

Sen. Barack Obama Supports Infanticide

I follow politics like I follow sports headlines. I’m lucky if I catch the highlights on Sports Center while I’m sweating it out at the YMCA. This year I researched a bit more and know some basics. I know some basic stances but I never knew Obama stood this far into abortion practices. I think you should take a look.

What is Infanticide Exactly?

Here’s the definition.
in·fan·ti·cide [in-fan-tuh-sahyd] –noun
1. the act of killing an infant.
2. the practice of killing newborn infants.
3. a person who kills an infant.

Unbelievable. God, give us Godly leaders!
